I was just wondering if I can leave some wonderful people (Cagleheads are the best!) with an idea for spreading even more christmas cheer this year. I know money is tight and the economy isnt all that great, but it would be terrific if just even 20 people who read this offered help. There are a lot that will be homeless this year for the holidays, both people and animals. If you could call your local homeless shelter, soup kitchen or food bank and as what they need donated and buy just one item and donate it for Christmas. And don't forget the homeless pets too! This year I know I am working at the local animal shelter here on Christmas and its very depressing to see them without families for the holidays, especially when 99% of them havent done anything wrong. Most shelters have a "Wish List". When out Christmas shopping, if you could pick up just one item, even if its a cheap bag of dog or cat treats, and drop if off at your local shelter. A not wishing them a happy christmas would be great too, but you dont have to go overboard!!*lol*. Im hoping that asking people and posting flyers in many local communities will remind people about the homeless animals, and maybe even encourage an adoption or two! Thanks for listening. I know you are all wonderful people and will try to do what you can!

My mom is in the nursing in Iowa....they are to have a special family soup supper and need gifts for the residents so I will make sure some of those who don't have family will have a gift for X-mas! The elderly really need love and attention during the holidays! GREAT IDEA!
