Who's Blocking The *@##*!! Traffic? -- We're told there were cars full of women screaming "We love you, Chris Cagle," as the Houston-born songwriter brought traffic in Nashville's downtown to a stop for several hours Wednesday. While making the music video for his rush-released single "Whatta Beautiful Day," director Eric Welch and his crack crew not only closed down Commerce Street from 8th to 9th, but managed to get the through-town artery re-named "5th Avenue" to reflect the lyric of the Cagle/Monte Powell-penned song. In addition to creating traffic jams with his video shoot, Cagle's been in the studio wrapping what will be his sophomore album -- which he again had an aggressive hand in writing and co-producing. I found this article on www.countrynation.com! ~~Carrie~~ 12/20

I heard that while they were shooting the video that they got it done in one shot so they thought, there was a car load of girls in a convertable that went by and mooned the crew and it was caught on tape so they had to shoot it all over again. Did any one else hear this?

Goldie...The girls that mooned the whole grew were not caught on tape. They were actually focusing on Chris singing into the camera so Chris did not see it...he actually thought everyone was smiling because he was hitting everything on target the way they wanted the shot...after the shot was done, everyone busted out laughing and he couldn't figure out why...At least this is what the Tennessean said about the whole ordeal...they could be wrong - who knows...media outlets can be wrong at times so if it is, I apologize...hope that helps...

I see Chris teamed up with the same director again. I think that's great for Chris. It makes me wonder if Chris will ever work with any of the other video directors in the future?
I am e-mail pen pals with Steven Goldmann. When I first heard that Chris got a record deal, I contacted Steven telling him all about Chris. The last time I heard from Steven, he told me that he had submitted a video treatment for "What A Beautiful Day." Steven Goldmann has done videos for most every artist in Nashville. His most recent ones have been "I'm Trying" for Trace Akins and "Waiting On Joe" for Steve Azar. He also won CMA Award for directing "This Kiss" for Faith Hill. Steven Goldmann has done so many videos over the years it would take a long time to list all of them.
When Steven told me that he wanted to direct "What A Beautiful Day" for Chris, I wished him luck. I also told him that Chris might end up with using the same director he has used before. Maybe Chris and Steven could work together some other time.

Hey! My little mini-me was at the shoot, she was driving her own little Greased Lightning convertible! Oh my, she came home ranting and raving about sneaking into the picture, climbing up on Chris' cowboy hat and peering around da back as he was walking down the street. WOO HOOOOOO!!!
Keep your eyes peeled for that glimpse of Bunzai's mini-me {LMSHO-laugh my silly head off}. In fact, one time {at band camp} no no not that..... One time, she almost got caught under Chris' boots when she tried to follow to close behind and imitate him doing the Cagledance! WOO HOO HOO HOO HOO! Let's hear it for da MAN and mini-me's cameo in What a Beautiful Day!!! {wink wink!}
