i was just thinking about it this morning. me, i think you have to have a lot of confidence in yourself to get up in front of a lot of people and let them hear your voice. you have to have a good personality, you have to be able to take people running up to you and hangin on ya askin for you autograph. and you have to be able to have fun too. one of these days i am hopin to become a singer. i write some songs but have no music to them yet. so, what do yall think makes a country singer? -courtney.... I think your right.. to ba ny kind of singer it takes..People skills..and ofcourse the biggy Confidence..I love to write too.. Have some songs and no melody.. I have no confidence onstage..I would think that would come from doing it as a you grow..I started late. LOLOL.. But even the best of singers still get the stage jitters.. I think to be a country singer you just have to know how to sing. But to be an entertainer you have to show people that you know how to have fun. You can see it in a performance or the way the artist talks about their songs when they truly enjoy what they're doing. I've only seen two people who really give the impression that they are having a blast on stage and they're Chris and Garth Brooks. I've compared every other show I've seen since theirs and none have that energy that they do. They're awesome singers and even better entertainers. |

You have to be like me, of course. No, I'm j/k, but you do have to be able to sing at least decently. It's good to see other people with dreams of stardom. I wish all of y'all the best of luck and maybe if I make it to Nashville, find me and I can write songs for y'all. |

to be a country singer, the most important thing that you must be is, you must really be COUNTRY. EVERYONE SEEMS TO FORGET THAT THESE DAYS, I CANT STAND TO SEE SOMEONE FROM THE NORTH ACTING LIKE THERE COUNTRY. |
