For those Cagleheads who visited the MB this time last year, you'll remember that CHRIS spent three days on the roof at Walmart in Wichita, KS helping KZSN-FM DJ, Dan Holiday collect toys for our Toys for Tots program. Anyway it was a HUGE success! Over 13,000 toys were collected. Chris wanted to return this year, but other commitments kept him from coming back. Anyway in his place is Chely Wright. Her fans have issued a challenge to the Cagleheads. According to Dan, they pledge to collect more toys than the Cagleheads. On the radio, Dan said he talked with Chris and he was ready to accept the challenge. SO CAGLEHEADS, WOULD YOU PLEASE BE KIND AND HELP US OUT AGAIN THIS YEAR!!! If you would, either send a new unwrapped toy, or a monetary donation to: Toys for Tots from the Cagleheads c/o KZSN 2402 E. 37th North Wichita, KS 67219 You can find more out about the Toy campaign by checking out Cagle Central at www.caglecentral or the KZSN.com and e-mail Dan Holiday through the Kissin' crew link. Salsamaker, I know that you said something about having a raffle drawing for the Cagleheads that donate, but I'll let you explain how you want it done. SO, if you'd like to be a part of the raffle look for more information on this topic or a post by Salsamaker. A BIG THANKS IN ADVANCE TO ALL OF THE CAGLEHEADS WHO ARE WILLING TO HELP!!! Another proud Wichita Caglehead, ****Linda Cagle ON!! P.S. If you go to the KZSN site--be sure to check out the pics of Chris from last year's T4T Drive. Go to the Kissin' crew link for Dan Holiday and click on the Dan Holiday Fan Club link and follow the path!! Enjoy!!

Linda Linda Linda, you sound JUST LIKE I DID LAST YEAR!!!! ROFL YOU GO GIRL!!!!
OK, Dan did say he would like to see the toys sent there to the station. However, being that we are Cagleheads and doing something great like a raffle for awesome Cagle autographed items, I think we need to have them sent to myself or another area Caglehead (name withheld until I can contact that individual). When this happens we can keep count of how many toys/ $ is sent in and we can get the donor's name in the hat for the raffles. Also, we can be assured there are no mix ups and that we have an accurate count of the fans collections. KZSN gets CRAZY about this time of year. LOL
Another idea is to make up big boxes with Play It Loud all over them so when we do deliver the toys/ $ they know that the CAGLEHEADS HAVE ARRIVED!!! LOL
Last year the total toy count was over 2200 toys donated by the Cagleheads and I'm not sure how much money was donated. I know the money total was over $500, I'm thinking I heard something like $900+. Feel free to e-mail me at the addy provided on my profile and I'll get back with you soon.
It is a GREAT thing to see all the toys going to some very needy families. My family has been involved for many years and last year they helped with the sorting, baggin and distribution which is great for the kids to help others out and learn about charity. If you don't feel comfortable donating to the Wichita area, PLEASE donate in your local area. I know Wichita had some huge lay offs in the past year due to the aircraft plants not gettin orders like they have in the past, which means more people signing up to get help this year.
I'm done with my plug for the week. LOL Thanks for reading!

OOPS NO I'M NOT! LOL Dan and Chely go on the roof on the 4th of Dec. If you are donating to this area's cause then I would like to have the toys no later than Dec. 1st. If you are sending checks/ money orders please make them out to Toys For Tots, and save those receipts and cancelled checks as they are TAX DEDUCTIBLE. OK NOW I think I'm done! Have a great weekend folks!

Hey Salsa get ahold of me. That idea of boxes with Play it Loud sounds good. I"M GLAD I THOUGHT OF IT! Just hope Dan doesn't see this post, since it was going to be a surprise. I thought it would be cool to see Chely and Dan's faces when all the boxes show up with titles of Chris' songs all over them. I'm working on the Toy-a-thon site this weekend. Giving it a little update. We have our first official Toy-a-thon meeting this week. It is hard to believe we only have a little over a month left to get things done. This past month Dan and "the crew" have been busy getting started. It has been fun though. There are a few surprises I've been working on. I won't share them. Can't make me!

Come on Cagleheads, WE CAN DO THIS!!!! If we can all donate AT LEAST one toy in the name of Chris, THAT'S A LOT OF TOYS!! And just think of that good feeling you'll get for doing something for someone else!! NOT TO MENTION HOW PROUD IT WILL MAKE CHRIS FEEL SEEING THAT HIS CAGLEHEADS ARE SO GENEROUS AND LOYAL!!!
And those of us "younger" Cagleheads....turn this into a mini-drive with your friends and family, have them all donate to TFT in the name of CHRIS CAGLE!! And maybe the "older" Cagleheads or those with fulltime jobs can maybe do the same!! (Is this allowed??)
Hehee, sorry Salsa and Mae, just had to put in my two cents...I usually don't get my butt into gear for much, but when it comes to toy drives etc. I get all excited and want to do all that I can!!

Yes Meghan as I understand it- asking friends and family to help is allowed. HOWEVER, You MUST tell them that the toys are going to Wichita, KS to help chilidren in that area. You MUST tell them that the toys will NOT go to children in their local area. That is the legality we were told last year. Hope this helps to answer questions. If not, feel free to e-mail me. Thanks so much for all the help the Cagleheads can give on this great project!

I don't want to step on any toes here but please get ahold of Salsa for the address of "Cagle Toyland". If you could see the KZSN station you would understand. Anything that is received at the station will be put in with "Team Chely". We don't want them to get OUR toys. I did talk to one of the dj's this afternoon and they have NO toys with Cagle on it. So we need to keep the two fan clubs seperate. Check it out!! www.kzsn.com Alot of imformation on the site. Thank you for supporting Chris in the challenge.
