Salsamaker	Started on: 11/4/2002 11:17:59 PM Hey all, I thought I could go through this with just my nuclear family supporting me, but find that I need all the prayers I can get. So who better to ask than my Cagle family who have shown so many times before that they are a powerful bunch of people who can pray their hearts out. Asking for prayers that all turns out okay for me on Wednesday when I go in for a needle biopsy on my thyroid.And can ya pray that the hubby doesn't need surgery on his knees? We're fallin apart over here! LOL I didn't even know I had a problem, but it showed up on a CT Scan I had last month. I hope it's just a knotty thing from years ago when I had cat scratch fever (no it's not just a Ted Nugent song LOL).Thanks to all my Caglekin! (((((HUGS)))))

I saw the needle they will use today, not too big but I get NO pain stuff like novacaine before they insert the needle and move it around. YIKES!!!! Gonna use my biofeedback techniques and hope I don't get too nerved up about this. Won't have the report back for about a week after they do the biopsy, guess I need to start feeling virtuous and get some patience. LOL

But after 5 trips into my neck with needles they better have enough cells to figure out what it is! The first three were WITHOUT any deadening agent! I finally told them they were done if they need anything else they better KNOCK ME OUT FIRST! Lisa, you'll be happy to know that I was singing the Marine Corps hymn in my mind while they were torturing me! LOL Good old Marine Corps training, nothing like it in the world!HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIS!!! OOH RAH!

They told me that with 5 trips into the neck they still did not get enough cells to do the biopsy!!! HELLO!! Soooo, now I wait until I talk with the surgeon on Thursday and weigh the options, do I wait 3 months and see if there is a change and hope it's not cancer? Or do I tell them to try again with the needles and hope they get enough or do I tell them to open me up and take whatever it is and do a biopsy on the whole thing? I could use some of the audience's advice (like on who wants to be a millionaire). LOL Sorry guys but if I don't laugh about my luck lately I'll cry myself into a major depression. That is conduct unbecoming a Marine, right Lisa? LOL Gotta keep myself thinking positive and keep the spirits up. Life will go on no matter what happens, but I WANT TO BE HERE TO ENJOY IT! AAAAHHHH!!!! LOL
